15 Jun - Treble Clef Choir will perform at Walton Methodist Church, Terrace Road, Walton on Thames on Monday, 15th June at 8pm in aid of the National Childrens Home Charity. This annual concert given by Treble Clef is free to audience members who will enjoy an evening of music followed by refreshments afterwards. A retiring collection will be made to help raise funds for the charity. Directed by Christine Best and accompanied by Emma Hawksley the choir will sing a variety of music from their ever growing repertoire - excerpts from Chicago, Broadway Ladies, Across the Wide Missouri, With a Voice of Singing and Lift Thine Eyes to name but a few. 4 Jul - Volunteers from Guiding in Ashford have arranged for a professional circus company to bring its Big Top to the grounds of Spelthorne Junior School in Ashford on Saturday 4th July. Gates open at 12pm when circus goers will be able to visit side shows and have a go at crafts, games and activities run by Rainbows, Brownies and Guides before the circus show starts at 2pm. There is also a fancy dress competition at 1pm. The day is suitable for all ages and under two’s go free if sitting on an adult’s lap. Advance tickets are £6 per person or family tickets are available at a discounted rate. Free parking for the event is being provided by BP.
