Meet the team . . . .

Steve D'Silva

My First experience of hospital radio was as a patient in the Cambridge Miltary Hospital. A DJ came round collecting requests, he asked me and being young and trendy I said "Farley Jackmaster Funk - Love Can't Turn Around" Oh I don't Think we'll have that he said, anything else? Ok I said Aretha Franklin-Respect. I Waited with baited breath and finally the time came. "Here for Stephen D'Silva a track he requested by Alexander O'Neil........ I was disgusted and vowed the someday I'll do better.

Here's a little bit of me . . . .

I've been asked to give examples of favourite films and music, they are too numerous to list. Instead I'll give a couple examples of little landmarks in my life. The first is lying in a hospital bed staring through the various pieces of metal work sticking out of my leg at the most beautiful sunset. The second is sub-aqua diving off Fraggle Rock (it does exsist) feeling a tug on my fin turning round to come face to face with a seal playing tug of war with it. And lastly, trying and failing to put to bed my two boys on the first night of their holidays. They were sleeping in the same room my 5 year old curled up under the covers giggling as his 9 month old brother hand clenched on the bars of his bed guard bouncing up and down laughing at his brother.

That might give you a little flavour. I normally do the Monday slot although I do occasionally swap to Thursday's . . . so send your requests to me.
