Ben O'Connor
Ben is a Company Director and Co-owner with a weakness for Sports. That’s why he joined our informative Sportscene team. Living in West Molesey, Ben has followed Non-League football for over 25 years, a number of them as Secretary (for Molesey FC and Chertsey Town FC)

Ben started with Radio Wey by doing the odd report from Molesey or Chertsey. Gradually as he grew in confidence in front of a microphone he became a regular pundit commentating on games from Staines, Woking, Molesey, Walton and Hersham, Hampton, Ashford and Met Police to name but a few.
Some of my highlights have been covering a game were there has not been one shot on goal. Going 34 games without seeing Molesey win a game, 28 games without seeing Chertsey Town win a game. Not being allowed into a Met Police match as Dover wanted sole coverage. (Is that our Richard Dover or the town)? Ed
Ben has also travelled the Country for Radio Wey, covering games from
Lowestoft, Deal, Kings Lynn, Hereford, Worcester, Hastings and AFC Totton.
Ben believes that the Sportscene team are a great bunch of Sports maniacs who have an enjoyable time on a Saturday bringing to life all the local football and other sport that is taking place. Great friendships have been formed and there are many characters taking part. Ben says “Quite frankly I wouldn't miss it for the world”. And neither would we Ben.
